Miss Kaitlyn

Miss Kaitlyn began dancing around the age of 4 in her hometown of Hendersonville, NC, taking up ballet and tap by age 7. She also picked up Hip Hop in high school. At age 16, she was asked to teach the Tap classes with students ages 3-8, and she did so for three years, loving every minute of it!

She came to NC State for college where she graduated in May 2023 with dual degrees in Chemical Engineering and Paper Science & Engineering. During her time at NCSU, she was part of a campus Tap dance group called The Tap Jam. She served as Secretary for two years and President her Senior year. After graduation, she wanted to continue to be part of the art form of dance, which is how she found SDD.

Miss Kaitlyn loves learning (and teaching) new and complex rhythms, creating art with her body and music with her feet. She is excited to be able to continue working and learning in the dance world at SDD!
